Metro Construction, Inc. (MCI) was first established in 1948 as a single proprietorship by the late Dr. Lai Shih. Progressive growth led to its incorporation in 1957. The company's main business is General Construction Works. Its long years of construction experience backed-up with competent engineers and modern equipment had made MCI capable of constructing almost any kind of construction works with high quality standards. Extensive project engineering work, close site supervision and a commitment to quality workmanship mark every project that the company undertakes. For these, the company banks on a dependable line-up of experience engineers, foreman, and skilled workers who are thoroughly familiar with the company's standards. Today, aside from continuing to be active in the construction industry, it also offers geotechnical subsurface investigation services (soil testing) managed by Metro Construction, Inc. Geotechnical Group (MCI-GG). A sister company of MCI, the Metro Structural & Industrial Steelworks Corporation (MSISC), offers supply and construction of steel structures and storage racks. Close interdependence of its departments enables MCI to provide clients better prices for better services.
